Service: Stratus Snapshot ("the Service"), a free hosted FinOps assessment website provided by Arc Insight Services Inc ("Arc Insight Services", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. Stratus Snapshot is a product of Arc Insight Services; the full FinOps platform is offered separately at https://arcinsightservices.com/products/finops-saas/. Effective date: [date] · Version: [x.y]
By using the Service you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Note. When you create an account, we record your acceptance (name, organization, timestamp, document versions). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. (A separate Mutual NDA may be presented later, at demo booking; it is not part of using the Service.)
The Service lets you assess cloud cost data you provide — a billing export you select from your own device, or built-in sample data — and shows an assessment of that spend. The file you select is read and processed entirely in your browser and its contents are never transmitted to us (see the Privacy Note); "upload" is a description of the control, not of where the data goes. The Service is a viewer and calculator; it takes no action in your cloud or systems.
The Service is an assessment, not the full platform. Continuous ingestion, alerting, stored reports and commitment tooling are part of the FinOps platform offered by Arc Insight Services separately; screens that depend on them say so plainly rather than showing a preview.
The Service requires an account. You create one with your work email and a password, which we store only as a salted hash. You agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account.
We ask you to accept these Terms and the Privacy Note at every sign-in, and we record each acceptance. Declining signs you out.
"Erase my uploaded data" in Settings removes cost data you uploaded from your device. It does not delete your account or your acceptance records — we retain those as evidence of the agreement. To have those removed, contact us at admin@arcinsightservices.com.
The core assessment is free. Certain premium outputs (detailed recommendations, savings plans, per-resource detail, and exportable reports) are available only to accounts we designate, and are served from our systems — they are not included in what your browser downloads. We may grant, decline, or remove premium access at our discretion.
You agree not to, and not to permit others to: (a) access, or attempt to access, premium, locked, or non-public content or features except as we make them available to your account; (b) circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service's gating, access controls, or security; (c) scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service, or access it other than through the interface we provide; (d) reverse engineer or attempt to derive the Service's underlying methodology except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law; (e) copy, resell, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Service or its content; (f) upload unlawful content or data you lack the right to use, or use the Service to violate any law; (g) attempt to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these Terms, and may restrict or revoke premium access. These remedies are in addition to any others available to us at law or in equity.
The Service, its assessment methodology, design system, scoring, and all related content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. The confidential methodology is also subject to the demo-stage NDA where applicable.
The Service and all figures it produces are provided "as is" for illustrative evaluation only, without warranties of any kind. Assessment outputs are estimates and are not financial, tax, or professional advice. [Add jurisdiction-appropriate disclaimer.]
[To be completed by counsel — cap, exclusion of indirect/consequential damages, jurisdiction-appropriate carve-outs.]
We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms (with notice for material changes). We may suspend or terminate accounts as described above; you may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Stratus Snapshot is a product of Arc Insight Services. This note covers this assessment website only. Arc Insight Services's company-wide privacy policy — covering data rights requests, processors, retention and any appointed representative — governs everything not specific to this Service, and is published at https://arcinsightservices.com/privacy/. Where the two differ on a matter specific to this Service, this note applies.
Your cloud cost data is assessed inside your browser and is never sent to us — not to our servers, not to analytics, not to error reports. We only ever receive: the account details you give us (work email, name, organization), a record each time you accept these terms — which we ask at every sign-in, and diagnostic/usage analytics, which are on by default and can be switched off in Settings. Your assessment results are stored on your device, not on our servers.
When your data is assessed — today that is a synthetic sample estate; uploading your own export is part of a demo — it is parsed by code running in your browser. The file's contents, and the figures derived from it, do not leave your browser. We do not receive, store, or have access to them. There is no endpoint on our side that accepts your cost data.
Your scorecard and findings are saved in your browser's local storage on your device, associated with your account for your convenience. They are not uploaded to us. Clearing your browser storage removes them from your device; "Erase my uploaded data" in Settings removes only results produced from a file you uploaded.
The assessment requires an account. You create one with your work email and a password, which we store only as a salted scrypt hash — never in a form we or anyone else could read back. At signup we collect your name and organization. We use this to operate your account, to sign you in, and to follow up about Meridian Stratus. Data involved: email, name, organization, sign-in timestamps, and basic session identifiers.
We ask you to accept the Terms of Use and this Privacy Note each time you sign in, and we record each acceptance separately (name, organization, timestamp, document versions) with your account, to evidence agreement. Declining signs you out; you cannot use the Service without accepting.
Diagnostics are on by default and you can turn them off in Settings at any time, in one click. When on, we may collect page views, feature-usage events, performance timings, and non-fatal errors to improve the Service — this includes page-view analytics. It never includes your cost data or your assessment results.
[Legal review: a default-on state is not valid consent for non-essential analytics under UK/EU GDPR and PECR. The sign-in consent gate is where that consent is asked; this section must be reconciled with whatever that gate is finally worded to say.]
[Specify retention for account records, acceptance records, and opt-in analytics — to be completed.]
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold (account details, acceptance records, analytics).
"Erase my uploaded data" in Settings removes cost data you uploaded from your device. It does not touch the sample estate (which is generated from a seed, is nobody's data, and is shared), your preferences, your acceptance records, your access request, or your account — and it does not sign you out. To have the retained account and acceptance records removed as well, contact us at admin@arcinsightservices.com.
[Legal review: retaining acceptance records may be defensible under the "establishing, exercising or defending legal claims" exemption, but retaining the account record and the access-request lead after an erasure request is a broader claim and must be reviewed against Art. 17 UK/EU GDPR. Until that review lands, the Service offers erasure of assessment data only, and says so in those words. Complete per applicable law; add how to exercise and DPO/contact.]
We use [hosting / email / analytics providers — list] as processors for the limited data above. We do not sell personal data. [Complete this list; it must agree with the processor list in the Arc Insight Services company policy.]

[Legal review: consider a dedicated privacy@ alias for data-subject requests, and name the appointed EU/UK representative or DPO here if one is appointed. Both are open in the Arc Insight Services company policy too, and should be answered once, for both.]
